Hey there, I am Your COACH & GUIDE
My name is Bobbi Carpino, a Woman-Centered Coach, facilitator, mentor and founder of Rooted in the River.
I specialize in guiding women who cannot shake the feeling that they are meant for more. Along our beautiful river, I provide a safe space for a sacred pause from her busy life to reconnect to herself and to explore purpose-driven entrepreneurship that feels aligned, meaningful and uniquely their own.
and this is me
Today, I wake up to the sound of the river, light in my heart and purpose in my bones. I have created a life and businesses that feels aligned with who I truly am. Ones that are soul-led, sustainable, and rooted in deep joy, meaning, and connection.
But it wasn’t always this way.
There was a time in my life when I thought I had it all figured out.
I had the career, the pension, the boxes checked. I was working in the criminal justice system as a probation officer, doing the work I thought I was meant to do. But deep inside, something was unraveling. I had always wanted to help people, and I believed that job would be my path. What I didn’t know then was that helping others shouldn’t have to come at the cost of abandoning myself.
Three years into my career, a traumatic incident changed everything.
The constant exposure to trauma, crisis, and violence led me down a path of PTSD, burnout, and disconnection. I became a shell of who I once was. I changed cities, changed offices, hoping to feel better, but instead, I lost more and more of my light. And when my daughter was born, I looked into her eyes and knew: I can’t keep living like this.
On maternity leave, I picked up a camera and felt something I hadn’t felt in years…JOY.
That whisper of joy led me to start a photography business, and with every click of the shutter, I remembered what it was like to be fully alive. I built that business from the ground up, and eventually, it grew to the point where I could leave my career. I walked away from the “security” of a pension and benefits to choose myself. But what I didn’t realize was that I carried so many limiting beliefs with me, about my worth, my value, my right to be seen. I was undercharging, over-giving, and quietly questioning whether I was enough.
That’s when I got support.
I hired a mentor, and then a coach. And everything began to shift. I realized that my worth was never tied to what my clients paid me. It was mine to claim. That single truth began to transform my life. My business flourished. I opened a beautiful downtown studio, earned my Master of Photographic Arts, and captured the stories of hundreds of families. But in the middle of that success, I found myself lost again. I had built something beautiful, but it was running me. I was missing out on moments that mattered most. I had created a business I no longer fit inside.
Then life offered me a new invitation.
During my father’s final days, I sat with him, grieving and reflecting. And in the quiet, I realized I couldn’t keep running on empty. I wanted ease. I wanted presence. I wanted to remember who I was.
The following year, I closed the chapter on my downtown studio and three days later, a new opportunity appeared. My husband and I bought a campground along a gorgeous river and a land you could feel at peace. Just like that, I began a new chapter. We rebuilt it into a beautiful sanctuary that now welcomes people from all over the world. But it was the river that rebuilt me.
I’ve spent the last decade mentoring women in business.
And what I began to see over and over, was that we were not struggling because we were not capable. We were struggling because we were carrying stories that kept us small. We were over-giving, over-performing, and quietly questioning our worth. I saw myself in every one of them. And that’s when I made the decision to train as an executive coach, and later, to go deeper and train as a Woman-Centered Coach and facilitator.
That training cracked me wide open.
I had to clean my own house, look at the patterns that had shaped me, and unlearn the belief that I had to prove my worth to earn love or success. Through the powerful work created by my mentor, Dr. Claire Zammit, I stopped outsourcing my value. I stopped betraying myself just to keep the peace. I stopped running. And in the messiness of it all, I came home to myself.
I didn’t just build a coaching practice.
I rebuilt my relationship with me.
I went from…
Lost to leading my life with intention
Overwhelmed to rooted
Overgiving to resourced
Craving more to creating more
Feeling invisible to becoming fully seen
Needing to control to trusting the flow
And perhaps most powerfully, I stopped performing, and started embodying.
Now, I help women do the same.
Through Rooted in the River Coaching, I support conscious women who are navigating a season of change. Women who feel the nudge for more, even if they don’t yet know what that “more” is. I help them transform their restlessness and yearning into purpose-driven entrepreneurship that’s aligned, meaningful, and uniquely their own.
I stand for the woman who has been holding it all together while quietly falling apart.
I stand for the woman who has checked all the boxes and still feels like something is missing.
I stand for the woman who is ready to remember who she is and choose herself, not as a last resort, but as a sacred act of reclamation.
The journey back to yourself is not always easy. But it is always worth it.
And I would be honored to walk beside you. You do not have to do this alone.
With love,
Bobbi
